Must have previous 2D Cad using AutoCad Lt or preferably 3D using one of the following packages – AutoDesk Inventor, Solid Works or Solid Edge. Ideally have worked within a specialised automation or precision instrumentation environment (packaging, pharmaceutical) Must have completed an engineering apprenticeship or be degree educated. Practical experience and a hands-on approach desirable. Must be able to produce high quality engineering drawings to BS8888. Must have a good understanding of working mechanisms and current machining methods for low-batch / one-off production. Sheet metal design experience would be desirable. Previous Project Management experience. The ideal candidate must be able to work on there own initiative, have high standards of work and able to work to tight deadlines.
