PHP Developer

 

Our client provides unique data analysis services and systems mainly to retail chains and franchise companies. They are fast expanding and require a further Developer for their small development team. 

 

The role 

Development, integration and testing of new modules for our online software
Deployment, customisation and support of client systems, including bug fixing
Liaison with internal staff and clients to produce detailed specifications
Presenting ideas for system improvements / new products, including mobile apps
Maintenance and up-dating of client systems
Documentation of technical work
Preparation of / input into training manuals for users

Technical / educational

 

Essential: HTML, JavaScript, PHP, MySQL
Highly desirable: CSS3, jQuery, AJAX. Client server technologies


Advantageous: jQuery Mobile, HTML5, Google or Bing API experience, MySQL spatial commands
Useful: Web application security. Knowledge of SQL Server or other SQL-based databases

You will know the principles of good development practice and preferably have a BTEC National Diploma in Software Development (or equivalent) or a computing Degree.
