Business / Sales Development Manager
Our client, a highly successful Systems and Software House, heavily involved in the Telecommunications Sector, seeks an Account Manager with min 3-5 years + Sales account management experience successful sales track record in Telecomms OR Radio, OR PMR / Tetra market OR Technology. You will have Business development experience.
Purpose: To manage and control sales and business development activities of the company core products and services for the UK Public Safety organisations, ensuring that Sales targets are met on a regular basis. Duties include the following:
1) Responsible for business development and sales of the company products and Service to the UK Public Safety Organisations. 
2) To manage existing sales accounts as well as generate new business opportunities for the company 
3) To prospects and visit clients on average 3 days a week. 
4) Devise a customer database which has sufficient functionality to categorise, record information, initiate and control mail shots and integrate to any marketing activity as may be required.
5) Compile a list of prospective customers, historic customers and provide annual sales and marketing plan outlining how objectives can be met within 8 weeks of appointment.
6) Compile a written Sales Forecast report to Managing Director by the end of each month indicating the value of the expected potential orders for month 1, 2 and 3 forwards, and the name of the likely sales wins, and the sensitivity to this forecast. 
7) Report any out-of-line situations to the line Manager/Sales Director in respect of customer issues, or to another director in respect of fulfilment, within 24 hours of occurrence. 
8) Form selling partnerships with other organisations and generate new business opportunities for the company in order to increase the order frequency. 
9) Integrate and co-operate with the company customer care programme as may be initiated from time to time. 
10) Work with the Managing Director to agree seminar, speeches, exhibition events, and any other marketing-led activity and provide (on site and off-site) technical sales presentation and demonstration of the company products and services.
11) Ensure that the sales budgets are met on a quarterly basis. 
12) Attend monthly sales meetings. 
13) Ensure the company terms and conditions of sale are agreed at every Sale. 
14) In conjunction with the Technical Services Manager, develop and contribute to strategic ideas and plans for the growth and the development of the business.
15) Carry out special investigation tasks at the request of the Managing Director .
