Snr. Web Developer - C# and .NET frameworks - £40-45K PA basic + bonus (earnings £50k+ pa)

 

Our client, a Digital Agency / Software House, has an exciting opportunity for a web application developer, to be based at our Bedford HQ.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with the latest technologies for a number of household name clients.

 

As part of the in-house development team, your projects will involve working with the latest .NET Core, and EF, NoSQL, Angular IO, Node JS, React and much more.

The client works with both Azure and AWS cloud providers, utilising the best micro-services for the tasks in hand, from distributed caches to AI services.

The client uses the best software to help us design, handover, develop, project-manage, communicate, test, package and deploy including Visual Studio and the full suite of Jetbrains IDE’s, TFS online, GIT, XD, Zeplin, Postman, Teamwork, Slack and more.

 

Applicants must have a background of C# and .NET frameworks, (preferably with some experience with Core 2+) and be fully conversant with Javascript, Typescript, REST etc. Front end skills are also required with an eye for detail essential.

 

This role provides a high degree of variety and responsibility for the successful candidate, mixing actual development with project management and team mentoring responsibility, with an approximate ratio of 90/10 respectively. You will be working on the very latest web technologies with forward thinking clients..

Reporting to the Managing Director, the Lead Web Developer is responsible for all aspects of technical delivery of the services provided by the business.

Included in this are the management of:

 

  1. Project and product development
  2. The development team
  3. The development / production process and cycle
  4. Development environment including source control
  5. Specification and product development
  6. Support arrangements both internal and outsourced
  7. Cloud hosting

A positive 'can-do’ attitude is required for the role as some aspects require bleeding edge development, where frameworks or services are unproven and undocumented. Accordingly, the candidate must be able to think outside of the box to find solutions.

You will be provided with the latest I9 development PCs, liquid cooled with eight core processors and triple displays.

We offer a 37.5 hour working week with some flexi-time, fee on-site parking, town centre location and a strong holiday and salary package.
