Our client is a provider of solutions to the pre-employment screening market. Our cutting edge web technologies automate and manage complex real-time workflows, providing a comprehensive range of services to thousands of users globally.

The client needs a Developer for their growing team of C#, ASP.Net, SQL Server developers. This person should have a strong technical background with extensive first-hand experience of commercial software development. Hands-on web development experience is essential to this role.

 

This is an exciting role with a lot of scope for designing and building the next generation of software-as-a-service platform.

The right person for this role will be experienced with all aspects of the development life-cycle, and will have a pragmatic approach.

It is vital that this person should have the ability to plan work for themselves and for the team, escalating risks and issues to the Director as appropriate. The team leader will be responsible for managing the team's schedule of work.

 

Essential:

5+ years commercial development experience Principles of RDBMS, OO, Web applications Systems Design C# 4.0, ASP.Net (MVC a plus), SQL Server (2008 ideally) Advising on technical approaches Resolving technical issues Estimating, planning, prioritising Flexible attitude and approach Able to track progress of the team Source control software such as TFS, Sourcegear Vault, Subversion etc Unit testing, ideally with a mocking framework

 

Desired:

Experience of continuous integration Knowledge of one or more scripting languages Exposure to testing and deployment strategies
